Military canvas messenger bag. One of a kind.
This is a complete original made from a reworked 1950s army kit bag - post-WW2 canvas fabric over 70 years old.
Original date stencil : 1954
Stencils mark the original owner of the bag: Spr Kelly - a sapper (soldier) in the Royal Engineers.
The sturdy canvas fabric incorporates historical wear and tear with original patina, stitch holes and and stencils - showing a record of its time in service.
A good size for every day use or short trips.
Closure: full length zip top to keep belongings safe.

The bag is fully lined in cotton French ticking stripe with a full width internal pocket which will comfortably hold a phone and wallet plus more.
Full length leather crossbody strap which can be altered in length with a brass slider.
Sturdy antiqued vegetable tanned leather strap and buckle fasteners.
Aged brass hardware.
Handset copper rivets.
